The Mystery Made Known: A Christmas Devotional
Christmas is more than a familiar story about a baby in a manger. It is the moment when God begins to make His mystery known.
Paul writes, “He made known to us the mystery of his will… to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.” (Ephesians 1:9-10)
At Christmas, God’s long-hidden plan steps into the light. The incarnation is not an afterthought or a sentimental scene. It is God’s decisive move to bring heaven and earth back together in Jesus. What was fractured by sin, distance, and fear begins to be healed as God draws near.
The manger tells us that God is not standing far off, waiting for us to get it right. He comes to us. He enters our brokenness. He begins the work of restoring what has been divided, not all at once, but faithfully and fully in Christ.
In a world that feels fragmented, tired, and often divided, Christmas reminds us that God is still at work, uniting all things in Jesus. That includes our relationships, our wounds, our hopes, and our stories.
This Christmas, may we not only remember the birth of Christ, but trust the promise behind it. God is making all things new, and He has not finished yet.
