Walking in What God Prepared
My apologies for getting this blog post uploaded late.. I’ve been under the weather for several days.
As we move forward with the Kharis team, I have some good news to share. We have heard back from the revision team, and I have now signed off on the digital proof of the interior design along with the front, back, and spine of the cover. It is a meaningful step in the process, and it feels like we are shifting from planning into execution.
As I reviewed those pages and designs on my screen, I was reminded that this project, like every act of obedience, rests not on my initiative, but on God’s prior preparation. That moment brought me back again to Paul’s words in Ephesians 2.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
Grace does not leave us standing still. It leads us somewhere. Paul reminds us that God has already been at work ahead of us, preparing paths, shaping opportunities, and inviting us to walk forward with Him. This is not pressure to perform or prove ourselves. It is an invitation to participate in what God is already doing.
Walking suggests movement that is steady and intentional, not rushed or frantic. It is a step by step trust that the ground beneath our feet has already been prepared by grace. That truth applies to publishing a book, to ministry, to relationships, and to the quiet decisions of everyday faith.
I am hopeful that this next season of movement will help place this message of balancing faith and action into more hands and hearts. Not because the work is perfect, but because God is faithful. He shapes stories through ordinary obedience, one step at a time.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the grace that saves and the grace that leads. Help me trust that You have gone before me and prepared the way. Give me courage to walk forward, wisdom to discern each step, and peace to rest in Your presence as I move. Amen.
One question
Where do you sense God inviting you to walk forward with trust right now?
