Grace and peace to you

.“Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to the saints who are in Ephesus and are faithful in Christ Jesus. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:1-2)

Paul opens with identity and a gift. In Christ we are saints, not by our performance but by God’s will. God’s first word to His people is grace. His next word is peace. Receive both today. Let grace free you from hurry. Let peace steady your heart and guide your words.

Prayer:
Father, let your grace reach us again. Let your peace guard our minds and flow through us to others. In Jesus’ name, amen.

One question:
What would it look like to rest in grace and peace today?
