The Gift You Could Never Earn

Paul brings us to the heart of the gospel with a simple and freeing truth: β€œFor by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing. It is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

You do not have to climb your way to God. He already came to you. Salvation is not a reward for good behavior. It is not something we achieve after enough effort, discipline, or spiritual success. It is a gift freely given by the God who loves us.

Grace does what we cannot do. It finds us where we are, lifts what we cannot lift, and opens what we cannot open. When we stop trying to earn what God has already given, our faith grows lighter, our worship grows deeper, and our hearts grow grateful.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the gift of grace. Thank You for saving me, not because of anything I have done, but because of Your love. Help me rest in Your mercy today and walk in the freedom of Your gift. Amen.

One question:

What are you still trying to earn that God has already given?
